How to Clean & Sterilize BebeWarm – Step-by-Step Guide
In brief
Why proper cleaning is so important
Thorough cleaning of your BebeWarm is crucial – not only to ensure the device functions reliably for a long time, but above all for your baby's hygiene. Milk or limescale residues can promote bacteria and shorten the lifespan. With the following steps, your BebeWarm remains clean, safe, and ready for use.
Step-by-step cleaning guide
1. Cleaning the inner bottle
-
Use a soft sponge or a soft bottle brush – never anything abrasive.
-
Add a drop of mild dish soap to the bottle.
-
Rinse the inside thoroughly, especially the corners, so that no milk residue remains.
-
Rinse with clean water.
2. Disassembling the lid & cleaning the seals
-
Carefully disassemble the lid.
-
Remove the silicone seals and clean them separately.
-
Cleaning: with warm water & a drop of dish soap.
-
Rinse with clean water, then allow to air dry.
-
Tip: Carefully reinsert the seals after cleaning – if one is missing, the device may leak.
3. Cleaning the lid
-
The lid is made of plastic.
-
No high temperatures or dishwasher, as the material can deform.
-
Best cleaned by hand: with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft cloth.
-
Then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
4. Boiling the bottle
-
BebeWarm V2: Simply set the device to 100 °C – the bottle will be boiled automatically.
-
BebeWarm V1: Boil water in a kettle and pour it into the bottle. Then rinse and allow to air dry.
-
Also pour hot water over the lid and seals separately.
-
Important: Reinsert the seals correctly after drying.
5. Using the sterilization mode
-
We recommend using the sterilization mode daily in the evening.
-
How it works:
-
Pour 300 ml of water into the BebeWarm.
-
Press and hold the Plus & Power buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
-
The sterilization cycle runs automatically for 30 minutes at 65 °C.
-
-
Afterwards, briefly rinse the bottle and lid again with clean water.
6. Descaling (every few weeks)
-
Depending on water hardness, limescale may build up.
-
For descaling, we recommend:
-
Dissolve ½ teaspoon of citric acid powder in 200 ml of water.
-
Pour the solution into the BebeWarm.
-
Turn on the device and let it run for 10 minutes.
-
Then rinse thoroughly with clean water several times.
-
-
Alternatively: household vinegar (1 part vinegar, 10 parts water).
Conclusion
With this care, your BebeWarm remains hygienic, safe, and durable. Important: No dishwasher, no aggressive cleaners. Regular cleaning, sterilization, and descaling ensure that your device remains reliable – and your baby can drink safely at any time.
